What options are available for managing access permissions for your storage unit?

Access to your storage unit is secure and straightforward: Through our app, you can create a digital key and grant access to others – anytime and flexibly. Alternatively, you can set access permissions directly in the rental agreement or arrange them through a power of attorney. Authorized persons have unrestricted access but must present a valid photo ID if required.

How secure are my goods and I in your self-storage?

Our self-storage facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art 24/7 CCTV surveillance system. Continuous video recording, secure access controls, and well-lit facilities protect your stored items and ensure your safety. Store worry-free and securely!

Which items are not allowed in storage?

There are clear regulations on which items or materials cannot be stored. These include all items that are highly flammable or combustible, as well as goods that may cause odors or harmful emissions.

Prohibited items:

Fuels, combustible materials, and lubricants
Paints, varnishes, and solvents
Explosives (e.g., fireworks, propellants, ammunition)
Weapons
Used tires
Internal combustion engines (e.g., outboard motors, mopeds)

Note: Food items can only be stored if they are pest-proof. Canned goods are allowed, while simple sacks or bags are unsuitable as they may attract pests.

Our tip: If you are unsure whether an item is suitable for storage, feel free to contact our on-site team. We will provide individual advice and help you find a suitable solution.

How flexible are the minimum rental period and cancellation terms for your storage unit?

To accommodate even short-term storage projects, the minimum rental period is just 7 days.

The notice period for storage units is 7 days, while for bulk customers, it is 4 weeks.

With these flexible conditions, we offer maximum planning reliability and convenience – ideal for both short-term and long-term storage needs.

Are the storage units lockable?

Yes, all storage units are individually lockable. For most locations, you can use our handy app to create digital keys (Digital Keys) to access your storage unit.

Exception: At the Oberhausen location, access is via a PIN code, and the storage units are secured with a cylinder lock. Only authorized customers with a valid PIN code can access the storage area.

For added security, you can lock your storage unit with your own padlock.

What climate conditions do our storage units offer for safe storage?

Our storage units provide ideal climatic conditions year-round to ensure your goods are stored safely and worry-free.

Clean, dry, and light-protected:

Our modern ventilation systems maintain a dry storage climate, free from dampness and condensation. Additionally, we protect your stored goods from light exposure to prevent fading. Cleanliness is our top priority to ensure your items remain in perfect condition.

Our storage units are the perfect solution for secure and climate-controlled storage – around the clock.

Can the rental agreement for a storage unit be transferred to another person?

No, a direct transfer of the rental agreement to another person is unfortunately not possible. If someone other than yourself is reported as the user of the storage unit, we consider this a new rental agreement. This person will need to sign a separate contract.

However, in exceptional cases, a takeover of the storage unit may be possible if arranged in advance with our on-site team. Please contact us in good time to discuss potential options.

Can I drive my car up to my storage unit?

No, this is not possible at all locations. Only at the Oberhausen location are there some storage units in the outdoor area that can be directly accessed by car.

Do I need insurance?

Yes, insurance is required. You can either use your existing home insurance or take out a suitable insurance directly with us.

Can I rent a van at Space Plus?

Yes, you can rent a van from Space Plus at an affordable rate. The first 4 hours are free, and you only pay €0.30 per kilometer driven (kilometer rate). After the 5th hour, there is an additional charge of €6.90 per extra hour, plus the kilometer rate. With these conditions, you can handle your transport needs flexibly and affordably!

Are freight elevators available at all Space Plus locations?

Yes, all Space Plus locations are equipped with freight elevators to facilitate access to storage units. The exception is our Krefeld location, where all storage units are on the ground floor and easily accessible.

Do you offer moving helpers?

Yes, we provide trolleys and high-quality packaging materials. However, packaging materials are not available at the Krefeld location, only trolleys.

How long can I rent an office?

The rental period for office spaces is flexible and based on your needs. You can rent offices at Space Plus on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis – perfect for both short-term and long-term use.

What internet speed does the high-speed Wi-Fi in the offices provide?

Our offices are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, offering a fast and reliable internet connection, ideal for efficient work, video calls, and other online activities.

Can I quickly and easily print documents in the offices?

Yes, our modern offices provide high-quality printing options. You can print your documents in the best quality and without delay – perfect for presentations and reports.

What free drinks are available in the offices?

In our offices, we offer complimentary drinks such as water, Fairtrade coffee from True Kaffee, and tea. You can enjoy high-quality coffee and refresh yourself at any time. We value sustainability and offer coffee that is both of excellent quality and ethically produced.

Are modern screens available in the offices for efficient work?

Yes, our offices feature large, modern screens, especially useful in conference or meeting rooms for presentations and discussions. The screen enhances multitasking and ensures optimal display during teamwork and meetings, allowing you to work efficiently and professionally.
