What options are available for managing access permissions for your storage unit?
How secure are my goods and I in your self-storage?
Which items are not allowed in storage?
There are clear regulations on which items or materials cannot be stored. These include all items that are highly flammable or combustible, as well as goods that may cause odors or harmful emissions.
Prohibited items:
- Fuels, combustible materials, and lubricants
- Paints, varnishes, and solvents
- Explosives (e.g., fireworks, propellants, ammunition)
- Weapons
- Used tires
- Internal combustion engines (e.g., outboard motors, mopeds)
Note: Food items can only be stored if they are pest-proof. Canned goods are allowed, while simple sacks or bags are unsuitable as they may attract pests.

How flexible are the minimum rental period and cancellation terms for your storage unit?
To accommodate even short-term storage projects, the minimum rental period is just 7 days.
The notice period for storage units is 7 days, while for bulk customers, it is 4 weeks.
With these flexible conditions, we offer maximum planning reliability and convenience – ideal for both short-term and long-term storage needs.
Are the storage units lockable?
Yes, all storage units are individually lockable. For most locations, you can use our handy app to create digital keys (Digital Keys) to access your storage unit.
Exception: At the Oberhausen location, access is via a PIN code, and the storage units are secured with a cylinder lock. Only authorized customers with a valid PIN code can access the storage area.
For added security, you can lock your storage unit with your own padlock.
