When is a storage unit worth it for sport and travel?
Whenever equipment is only used seasonally, when a club has no store of its own, or when you are away for a longer period.
For your own equipment
- Winter sports: Skis, snowboards and boots fill half a cellar for four months of use a year.
- Water sports and camping: Surfboards, SUPs, tents and sleeping bags need room and cope badly with damp.
- Bikes: Road bikes, mountain bikes and winter wheelsets stay dry instead of standing in the hallway or bike cellar.
For clubs and teams
- Clubs without their own store: Kit, balls, mats and goals are kept centrally, even when the clubhouse has no room.
- Changing volunteers: You create digital keys for coaches and helpers in the app, or set access rights directly in the rental agreement.
- Tournaments and events: Gazebos, banners and timing equipment stay ready instead of disappearing into changing garages.
When you are away for longer
- Long trips and sabbaticals: If you give up your flat or sublet it, you save more than the storage unit costs.
- A year abroad and coming back: Your belongings stay here until you return and the new place is ready.
